The Tk8 Last Ride Music and Movie Tour sponsored by Channel Islands Surfboards, Fringe Clothing, Surfer Magazine and Surf Happens, kicked off last night in Santa Barbara, California to a packed house. It was an amazing night of combining the music of Tom Curren to perfect surfing by Kelly Slater, Tom Curren, Dane Reynolds, Bobby Martinez, Killian Garland and Ratboy. Tom was jamming in style and the waves in Tk8 were flowing to the rythem of Tom’s guitar. “It was so incredible to see the mixing of music and surfing, I felt like I was experiencing a once in a lifetime event”, said Ryan Zukor, a local Santa Barbara Surfer.
The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum was packed and the crowd was mesmerized between the live jam by Tom Curren and the fantastic surfing shown on the big screen.
The night started out with DJ Jackson, then Tripdavon played and then the main event started after a short introduction by director Josh Pomer. The night also raised money for Save Naples. org and The Maritime Museum. Two surfboards were raffled off and a bunch of shirts and hats were thrown out to the amped up crowd. Next stop Santa Cruz, California on Aug. 19 then San Fransicco on Aug. 20th, for ticket and information www.lastride.eventbrite.com

The show was amazing! Kilian’s part in the film was pretty dope! Tom Curren was ripping the guitar the whole time, good fun. Thanks again to Josh Pomer & all the TK8 sponsors for hosting such an amazing event. More showings to come make sure to check the schedule.
