Alpha – I didn’t read it like that, if I was Brazilian I’d be taking it as a compliment. The writing is on the wall – Brazil is the coming force in world surfing, we all know it, some mightn’t like it, but nothing is going to change it (except maybe John John Florence). I think the title of the piece reflects the acknowlegement of a new and maybe lone superpower in world surfing. Now my question is how does Adriano make something so good look so bad?

Do I detect foul play by Surfer Magazine? The title, another flip by another brazilian sounds a little negative. The title of the web page itself: /videos/cmon-man/
Common people, you are better than that.

Or you oughta be.

He can’t be good cos he’s like from Brezil and stuff.

It can only be good if it comes from the good ole US of A

For Bruce – think you just want to stir up some comment. I’m not a Brazilian but would rate Medina as a serious world title contender. At the end of 2011 – Brazil had 3 surfers in the top 10 – Medina, Adriano and Alejo Muniz so Brazil is a rising force in the top 10 and top 20 and Adriano and Medina are winning competitions.

Why don’t you paddle out with Medina & Adriano at Pipe and shoot a video and then we can really show you a shit style..

2012 ASP TOP 34:
1. Kelly Slater (USA)
2. Joel Parkinson (AUS)
3. Taj Burrow (AUS)
4. Gabriel Medina (BRA)
5. Owen Wright (AUS)
6. Adriano de Souza (BRA)
7. Julian Wilson (AUS)
8. Jordy Smith (ZAF)
9. Alejo Muniz (BRA)
10. Michel Bourez (PYF)

Passionate. Just an observation from watching him on the wave. Don’t know where the passion comes. It’s nice to see someone have good feelings from riding a wave regarless of opinion on style.

Another brazillian with a horrible style. This guys looks worst then gaberal madina arms everywhere and his ass sticking way out.. Flynn Novak was popping these things at Rockies ten years ago. Terrible claim too double fist pump just like medina did when he got barreled on a three footer at the sunset contest. Half the asp women’s tour have better style then these guys!!!

Do you think he is passionate because he did a double handed claim? Or is it because he is from Brazil? Are the two related? Do you like cliches?
