Summer is expensive because so many people flock to the shore and every room is at a premium. Winter is also expensive because a lot of places close down and rooms are at a premium.
Easiest thing to do and save money and hassle is go in a car you can sleep in, and be creative. The Bedouin life is fun.
Food
Endless. If you like pizza, this is the place. Also seafood.
Parking, access and directions
Summer is crowded and every little town and township and city and beach community has their rules, some of them very strict, so watch it.

Pizza. Lots of it. A hundred and twenty miles of it. Plus cheesesteak sandwiches, clubs, bars, girls, boys. Summer wonderland. Winter is for poets.
