"I'm guessing Clark Foam? But I'm really more interested in who is shaping the board than the type of foam they're using." |
"I'm not sure what type of foam is in my board. It's a 1953 sears pop-out. 10-foot-long. D fin. It has an old-growth redwood stringer and the thing weighs 45 pounds. It's a heavy, heavy log." |
"It's extruded polystyrene. I use the foam as an interior frame instead of a blank. Solid-core structure. This technique uses far less foam. I send all the offcuts and by- product back to the manufacturer and they recycle it into new blanks." |

"I have the new Australian blank in my board with the green stringer. It's working out really great. It feels just like the clark foam. Same rocker. Same everything. It dings just the same as clark too. Nothing much has changed. " |
"Poly something or other. I'm not too sure ." |
"Walker foam. Don't ask me where it comes from. To be honest it doesn't make a difference to me as long as it floats." |

"The board I'm on now is the first epozy board I've ever ridden and the foam is kind of like one of those coolers you buy at 7-11 to take your siz-pack to the beach. It's polystyrene foam ." |
"US Blanks. It's the best foam I've found since Clark. It's got a really good density gradient through the core. I'm also interested in Bio-Foam. I heard a company called Home Blown in Southern California makes boards out of soy beans ." |
"I'm not sure. It could be from Australia or from Clark. I have no preference when it comes to foam. I'm tech-savvy but not savvy enough to know what kind of foam is in my surfboard ." |
