And, aside from her results in the competitive arena, it’s clear she’s been blessed by the Curren gene in the freesurf department as well. “I love watching her surfing,” says Courtney Conlogue. “Those figure 8s she does reminds me of her dad’s surfing.” She’s fluid and controlled. Curren-esque. And though she may have a genetic predisposition toward competition, her distinct approach to different waves sets her apart, making her a creative and unique standalone surfer.
