Shea Lopez Becomes the First-Ever Fantasy Surfer Staff Pundit

San Juan Capistrano, Calif. (February 23, 2010) - The sixth season of Fantasy Surfer is set to launch with the first event of the 2010 ASP World Tour in Australia. Pre-registration is now open on FantasySurfer.com. Log on to join today.

New this season is the addition of Shea Lopez to the Fantasy Surfer staff. The Florida native joins the team as the first-ever Fantasy Surfer Pundit. In addition to being a former World Tour surfer-turned-professional freesurfer, he was the overall Fantasy Surfer winner in its inaugural season, making him uniquely qualified for the gig.

What can you expect from Shea? Well for starters, you can expect his picks to be on the money. More specifically, he’ll make expert picks before each event and go head-to-head with other guest experts. He’ll also provide commentary on everything from surfer values, to style and who is or isn’t living up to his potential. Be sure to also keep an eye out for possible webcast appearances with extra insights and the opportunity to “ask the pundit.”

More importantly, Shea brings the same passion and competitive spirit he took out into the water to Fantasy Surfer. “I no longer compete, but I enjoy putting everyone to shame with my Fantasy Surfer team,” admits Shea. “A lot of the pros play, and those guys are all super competitive by nature. Some of them have even come to me for advice after they heard I won it a couple years ago.”

Also new this season is a completely renovated FantasySurfer.com. The official game of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour will unveil a brand new look with new features and improved playability for your gaming pleasure on February 25, 2010.

For all the new components, the game remains the same. It’s about who knows the ins and outs of professional surfing. If that’s you, don’t miss out on the opportunity to show your stuff-and win some amazing prizes-by joining the first community of its kind at FantasySurfer.com.

Fantasy Surfer is proud to be an official partner of the ASP World Tour.
