LOWER TRESTLES, California/USA (Tuesday, September 14, 2010) –Small surf in the two-to-three foot (1 metre) range has prompted event organizers to call another lay day for the Hurley Pro at Trestles.

Stop No. 6 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour, the Hurley Pro at Trestles enjoyed an explosive day of competition on Monday and is eagerly awaited a solid swell projection intended to hit later this week.

“The swell has dropped today as expected and we’re calling a lay day for competition,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “Thursday, Friday and Saturday are still shaping up to be very contestable days, but we’ll check back tomorrow morning to see if anything has changed.”

Surfline, official forecasters for the Hurley Pro Trestles, are calling for the swell to dip today and tomorrow before a stronger swell system moves in on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Event organizers will reconvene at 7am tomorrow to assess conditions for a possible 8am start.

When competition resumes, up first will be Owen Wright (AUS), 20, up against Luke Munro (AUS), 27, in Heat 6 of Round 2.

I usually do not try to dance better compared to anyone else. I just attempt to boogie better than myself
