Heading into 2007: Rocky Balboa has moved to Oz. Yes, the same Mick Campbell who once battled Kelly Slater for the crown before fading away has returned anew, pumped and ready for battle after a brief stint in the boxing ring. His journey back was the best storyline of the WQS season. He’s wearing dirty shoes, has no sponsors, and has a frightening hairstyle. This guy doesn’t have a huge bag of tricks, but his X-factor is pure determination, and he surfs far better than people give him credit for. Many will find that out the hard way. You don’t work as hard as he has without planning to stick around.
