VANS party shows off fall line while aiding Surfrider Foundation

The crew at Vans showed off their fall surf line with a party on Thursday
night in Los Angeles. Drinks flowed freely as the art gallery created for the event slowly became packed with guests, eager to get a preliminary viewing of the new line.

The
evening included tunes from Ray Barbee, creative and innovative professional skater turned musician, and the talented Ian Maddy. Art pieces from eclectic Bay Area painter PNUT adorned the walls of the room, adding a flair of creativity to the shoe displays, complementing the various surf styles on show throughout the night.

Vans used the event to tout their new surf footwear including new organic hemp and canvas classic styles and boutique offerings like collaborations with Pendleton and original Hoffman surf prints.

Traditionally known for their comfortable surf / skate shoe styles, VANS has been experimenting with a variety of new styles in recent years, adding to their already immense shoe repertoire. From classic “Spicoli” shoes, to beach sandals, to slick suede styles, the party on Thursday illuminated the latest in diverse beach fashion.

The Surfrider Foundation came out a winner too, as VANS maintained their commitment to environmental issues by raising more than $2,000 in a silent auction of some custom Stretch boards. Overall the night capped off what is sure to be an exciting year in surf fashion and was fun for all involved.
