So sad to hear the news. I was lucky enough to have the privilage to meet you and your family through our circle of friends. I pray for you, your family, and all those you left behind. Never forget going to your house in kalaheo and writing my name on your bedroom door, as you prepared to write your name on history’s forehead!

He did it for us bro, because his heart was not afraid, and to show us the human spirit that many of us have forgotten we own.
I thank him for that, and though I have never surfed a day in my life, my spirit is inspired by him.

Wow. So sad. He was a class act in and out of the water. A kind and generous guy.
Taken too soon, but doing what he was born to do. I pray for his wife and two girls and wish them only the best going forward at this very difficult time. Aloha, Aloha, Aloha and God bless.

Sion was as gentle, and a kind soul as he was a great surfer. He leaves paradise on earth and is riding the clouds now… Our hearts go out to his wife and two daughters.

Sad this man lost his life. Maybe he should have known it was not safe to go in and thought “hey I’m Sion, I’m the best” Its like these ‘highly-experienced’ skiers going out of bounds on ski trails and end up dead.
