I grew up surfing in Haleiwa with Marvin’s nephews.Jason,Stan Jr (jaime),Kevin,Kelly-boy,Kawika(VIK),Leonard Jr,Peter,and Hanalei.Uncle Marv hanaied me as one of his nephews.I remember 1 time in 1992 when Hurricane INIKI was passing by Waikiki on the way to Kauai, Marv, told us guys ” LETS GO!, so we headed to Port Lock(China Walls)the waves was HUGE! ,and Marv said “C’mon Jump in!.Crazy me I jump in,and started scratching .Then Jaime and I watched as Uncle Marvin was holding onto the side of the cliff (while on his board) as the wave came,he gave us a big smile and…he stood up on this HUGE left and ripped the S#^T! outtah that wave.He nevah had 2 paddle once just hold on! and stand up NO FEAR!.I caught about 3 huge waves, but most of the time I got doughnuts…That day Uncle Marv showed me how to control that fear and I thank him soooo much for being my mentor,friend,braddah, and hanai uncle.And to all those haters who talking shit (Randy Rarick)about Marvin’s life outside the water.In the book of Romans in the bible it says all has sin and fallen short of God’s glory..

independente, falo aqui do homem surfista que foi marvin foster, nos anos 80 , adquiri um filme que possuía poderosas imagens de um surfista surfando waimea de front side para a esquerda, com um som ao fundo ( john cougar mellencamp ),indiscutivelmente fomos influenciados pelos lay backs desse surfista por excelencia, marvin foster ( carvin ) era unico rebelde e ao mesmo tempo elegante, que DEUS o tenha em seus braços!!!

This is why I choose to stay away from the internet, a bunch of people wanting to get their opinions out there based on other peoples sorrow. Hey Mike and Nick, with your holy perfectness. You are not Christians, you’re judgemental assholes, read the bible you so readily preach and see what God says about your right to judge. Im sure you wont see this because your moment of publicity has passed. But if you do and your so interested in “saving” me come talk to me like a real man at Marvins service on July 10th at Haleiwa Beach Park. I bet you dont even live in Hawaii. Mahalo to my brother Che Tayborn who has been a friend forover 20 years and who apparently is the only person with enough integrity to sign his real name.
