Reynolds Withdraws From Quik Pro
Cory Lopez will replace Dane Reynolds in the upcoming Snapper event
We’ve just received word that Dane Reynolds has dropped out of the 2011 Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast. Sources report, and the ASP confirms, that World Tour first alternate Cory Lopez is currently rushing to Coolangatta to replace Reynolds, who is still recovering from a recent knee surgery.
Lopez, a former World Tour standout, spent 11 seasons on the ASP World Tour (1997-2007), finishing in the Top 15 eight times, including a third-place finish in 2001. He missed qualification for the 2011 World Tour by one place. He was unavailable for comment, as he’s in transit to from his home in Florida to the Gold Coast all day Tuesday.
