Pat O'Connell, Playmates to Kickoff Fantasy Surfer Season on 'In The Lineup' – SURFER Radio

February 17, 2006 — Dana Point, Calif. — Andy or Kelly? Parko or Micko? Trent Munro or no? Who should be on your fantasy team?

On Wednesday, February 22, FantasySurfer players worldwide will be tuned into “In The Lineup,” SURFER’s Internet talk-radio show. Host/producer Scott Bass has brought in expert FantasySurfer.com player Pat O’Connell to break down the season. Pat’s insight is invaluable, as the retired WCT surfer knows the surfers and the surf spots intimately.

“Pat brings an unmatched passion and zeal to analyzing the ’CT performers and performances,” explains Bass, SURFER Magazine’s Online Editor.

With the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast of Australia kick starting the 2006 Foster’s Championship Tour season on February 28, FantasySurfer players are pondering which pro surfers to include on their respective Fantasy Surfer teams.

There will be plenty of passion and zeal during Wednesday’s “In The Lineup” Podcast on SURFERmag.com. Bass has lined up two Playboy Playmates, Cassandra Lynn (Miss February 2006) and Holley Drough (Miss April 2006), and HefnerModels.com centerfold Nicole Gray, to each pick a FantasySurfer team and compete against the FantasySurfer team that Pat O’Connell selects.

That’s right, Pat vs. Playmates!

Also, a wildcard super-double-top-special Leon the squirrel monkey will join Pat and the girls. Leon will also pick a FantasySurfer team to go up against our beautiful models and Pat O’Connell.

That’s right: Leon vs. Pat vs. Playmates.

You won’t want to miss this Wednesday’s show.

ABOUT FANTASY SURFER

Object: To build a team of eight surfers that will accumulate the highest points for the entire 2005 World Championship Tour events.
Grand Prize: We will give away a trip for two to the 2006 Triple Crown in Hawaii as well as a dream boat trip.

How to play: Each owner will have $50 million in fantasy money to draft his/her initial surfing team, buying surfers who are valued according to their current rankings and projected performance in the 2005 WCT surfing events.

With more than 10,000 people playing worldwide last year, and a ramped-up, brighter outlook in 2006, this season will be insane!

Register and pick your team before February 28 to score points for the Quiksilver Pro – Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
