North Shore: 1989 vs. 2009

In the 1989 Hawaii Issue of SURFER, the article “North Shore By The Numbers” gave the breakdown of price of North Shore amenities. Granted many of the business referenced have closed shop since then (i.e. Kammies, Sunset Surf Shop, Haleiwa Barber Shop), but here’s a comparative list of prices of some of the items 20 years later:
