More Rebel Tour Drama?

| posted on January 03, 2010
The Dailytelegraph.com, an Australian news site, is reporting that Taj Burrow and other top pros are threatening legal action against the “architects” of the Rebel Tour over the use of their names being linked to the alleged off-shoot series. The article, entitled, “I’ll Sue, Taj Burrow Tells Tour Rebels” does not quote Burrow nor his managers directly, but is focused on the quotes from the ASP’s tour manager, Renato Hickel.

According to the story: “Hickel told The Daily Telegraph Burrow, [Andy] Irons, [Jordy] Smith and [Dane] Reynolds were angry at being linked to the tour, which is being organised by Slater’s manager Terry Hardy and former US boxing promoter Matt Tinley. ‘A few of the managers are threatening legal action if it doesn’t stop,” Hickel said. ‘They are utilising their names without authorisation to promote a tour with no communication whatsoever. I know for a fact Taj was really upset because he was never contacted at all.”‘
