Memorial Celebration for MSA member Danny Bearer October 18

It’s with a heavy heart that we write with news of the passing of longtime MSA member Danny Bearer. Danny had a deep love of both surfing and Malibu. He was an original team rider for Hobie Surfboards, Hobie Skateboards, and Makaha Skateboards. In 1965, Danny won the International Skateboard Championships.

The members of MSA invite our friends to join us in a celebration of his life. The event will begin at 10am Sunday, October 18th at Malibu Surfrider Beach. A traditional paddle out will immediately follow. Please bring a dish to share at a pot-luck lunch following the paddle out.
