Korduroy.tv Is Your Champion

picture-1

It’s a great day to be a surf geek. Korduroy.tv took down Paul “Follow The Fish” Fisher in SURFER’S 2010 Battle of The Blogs final. It was not an easy path for San Diego’s self-proclaimed “surf geeks.” Going into the event, Korduroy.tv was one of the lower seeds in the competition and had to overcome some big names on their way to the final—most notably Dane Reynolds’s MarineLayerProductions.com. Facing Fisher in the final, the scores were locked at 50%-50% until the final hour of voting when Korduroy made their move finishing 53%-47% ahead of the Aussie hellion.

Congratulations to all the contestants and especially to Korduroy.tv, the most popular surf blog on the internet and the inaugural winner of SURFER’s Battle of the Blogs.

I just wonder if the korduroy following is that massive group of san diego surfers who really dig twinnies, single fins and whatnot (aka boards that are easy to manuever and really don’t take much skill) or are they really people who can surf? When paddling out to many a san diego surf spots…..I’m pretty sure they are the ones who cannot surf. This is a serious disease spreading throughout the surf community. Fish can actually surf and he’s funny as hell. I dig that.
