San Clemente shaper Midget Smith has been ordering blanks from Just Foam for years. “I’m pretty bummed to hear about that,” said Smith. “The foam was good and made a great surfboard.”
In the months after Clark Foam’s infamous shutdown, backyard-foam producers turned into a hot commodity almost overnight. With countless new foam producers popping up across the country, the death of Just Foam will not have much of an impact on the supply of polyurethane blanks to the shaping community.
