For those of you chomping at the bit to hear surfing’s most acclaimed musician’s latest album, wait no more. With the release of “Sleep Through the Static,” Jack Johnson is poised to set the airwaves ablaze, one catchy, soulful, acoustic riff at a time. Furthering his eco-friendly vibe, Jack’s redefining what it means to be an environmentally conscious musician by recording his album in a solar-powered studio built out of…you guessed it…reclaimed lumber. Adding a little flair to his already successful repertoire of acoustic beats, “Sleep Through the Static” includes a few tracks composed of faster, electric chords, adding depth. “We wanted to make this album not 4 to 6 feet and glassy, we wanted to make it 1 foot and sort of longboard days, but with big paddle-in days too…just to make it more dynamic,” says Jack.
