Irons Brothers Pine Trees Classic

| posted on March 23, 2010

For the ninth year running, the Irons Brothers brought the groms of the North Shore of Kauai together for their annual keiki surf contest. Though Andy wasn’t able to make it back from the Gold Coast (he’s still in Australia preparing for the upcoming Bells event), the contest was a huge success, with groms taking home bags of free swag, trophies, and way more Red Bull than the average 8-year-old needs.

Many thnx to Andy and Bruce for being generous to their people and showing appreciation of their roots. They have both shown what happens when natural talent is applied with hard work, conviction, and fearlessness. The Irons bros are the most exciting family act in the history of surfing. I wish them both an epic year in their chosen arenas. I especially hope Andy regains his full on attack mode on the WTC, and gets Crown number 4. And that Bruce finds the best waves in the world and shows us what his freesurfing is all about!!
