SAVE THE BIG FAT WHALES: Electric Premiere Rocks In Laguna

Laguna Beach Theatre hosted the West Coast premier of Save the Big Fat Whales by ELECTRIC VISUAL. To ensure that there wasn’t a dull moment, ELECTRIC had their pirate ships sail to San Diego and LA where they picked up a crew of drunken sailors. Once docked in Laguna Beach, these mates lined up to get ready for the festivities that were about to begin.

Upon entry, all were greeted by Captain Sea Shepherd himself and his two wenches to have their picture taken. With the deep sea setting, everyone felt like saving some whales. Captain Sea Shepherd came prepared with his canon where he giveaways to the pirates and their kids.

The movie displayed some of ELECTRIC’s finest surfers from around the globe. Not only were Gabe Kling, Andrew Doheny and Kalani Robb in attendance, but some of ELECTRIC’s Pro Snowboarders as well; Mikey Rencz, Paavo Tikkanen, Chris Brown, and Volcom international rider Eero Niemela. The movie was a huge success with the crowd cheering on Ritchie Lovetts’ victory over cancer and every air and flair that went down.

Save the Big Fat Whales was created by Ozzie Wright and Peter Crumpton as a benefit towards Ocean Awareness, Organ Donation, and to help Peter Crumpton with his heart transplant. Peter is alive and well with a new heart and the movie is helping with these issues internationally. Although the movie had to come to an end, the night did not. ELECTRIC hosted an after-party at Ocean Avenue Brewery in Laguna Beach with the sounds of Nick Eye and DJ Sli Dawg. Big shout out goes to all that attended and thanks for supporting the cause.
