Mick Fanning – Well suited for the beachbreaks of Hossegor. Light and powerful. Micks super quick style and confidence will make him hard to beat.
Dorian Charges Cloudbreak – Oh my!
Bobby Martinez – One of the fastest surfers on the tour. Bobby wants to get back on track in France.
Kelly Slater – Kelly knows he can put a nail in it with this leg of the tour and it starts now. As his lead grows, so does his confidence. The wheels will not fall off.
Shaun Cansdell – My darkhorse pick. Top 5 in small waves on tour. Can pull insane moves on the crappiest waves. If he gets a roll going, look out.
Tim Reyes – “T.R.” as my friend calls him…the results speak for themselves, he can whoop some ass; and France sandbars are right up his alley.
Troy Brooks – One of the only cheap guys who poses any threat. Savvy competitor and solid in various conditions.
Jake Patterson – A ruthless competitor. Still hungry when a heat starts. Very cheap.
Adriano de Souza – Small wave wizard. He will kill ‘em if it’s waist high. Confidence is building with a couple solid results.
