Waiting Period For Billabong Pro Maui Starts Monday

The waiting period for the Billabong Pro Maui, the last event of both the Triple Crown and the ASP World Tour, begins Monday. Here’s the breakdown of all you need to know about the event:

Where: Honolua Bay, Maui
When: December 8-20
How: Heats-On-Demand and live scores at Billabongpro.com

Who: The Top 17, the Trialist, and the Wildcard
With Amee Donohoe pulling out of the last two events of the Tour due to injury, Billabong offered young Hawaiian team member Alessa Quizon her spot in the main event. The last available spot will go to the winner of the Trials, a 6-person heat that will take place just before the commencement of the event.

Lani Doherty (The National Scholastic Surfing Association Maui qualifier)
Felicity Palmateer (Billabong’s pick)
