Picking a surf camp or surf school is not as simple as flipping through the yellow pages. Location, wave quality, your skill level as well as your own personal expectations are all factors that come into play when picking an establishment that is right for you.

If you’ve never left your zip code, then common sense dictates that signing up for a camp situated in the depths of a Colombian rain forest is not a wise move. Similarly, shooting below your skill level could result in a very flat, very unsatisfying experience indeed. In short, covering all your bases and knowing all the options before singling out one particular camp is essential to getting the maximum enjoyment from the experience. Which is where we come in.
