Ando and Friends Coloring Contest Art Show
This past month, Ando and Friends concluded their 2nd Annual Coloring Contest with an art show, where they announced the winners and displayed noteworthy runner-up entries. Fine spirits and good company complemented this celebration of ocean and art.
Hundreds of entries poured in and choosing one was no easy task. However, it was Allison Soens of Ventura, CA, who came out victorious. “There were so many rad entries, but in the end, everyone in the office kept coming back to this one,” said Ando and Friends Founder Andy Davis. Along with her entry, Allison wrote a poem describing the emotions behind her artwork.
Sea glass, sea foam, sea wood, hemp.
Sea rock, sea shells, sea green, fun!
Toob city ridin’ the Alaya,
Hemp trail flew,
Driftwood barrel,
Take me through.
Stylin’ Ando threads of seaglass,
Green, white, & brown,
Sandy Hair Slidin’
For the love of ocean I’ve found.
