Maya Gabiera took the Girl’s Performance award from a stacked field of female chargers, and Dave Wassel was named the Monster Paddle Champion for his wave at Jaws this winter. Deserving wins by amazing professional surfers. Was hoping Garrett might mention Andrew Cotton, who towed Mcnamara into his Biggest Wave winner and was nominated himself for his ride on a cold Irish monster. Cotty is an English(!) plumber who chases swells in his spare time and appears to be a bit of a character judging from the blog I’ve just discovered.
