Solid Swell for Final Two Days of REEF Hawaiian Pro

1st Jewel of Vans Triple Crown of Surfing to be Decided

Haleiwa, HI (Sun., Nov. 22, 2009) – Surfline.com, official forecasters for the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, delivered great news this-morning for the final two days of the Reef Hawaiian Pro, the first jewel of the $1,000,000 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing on Oahu’s North Shore: waves are expected to build to the 10-foot-plus range. The final two days of competition will take place today and tomorrow.

Sixty-four surfers remain in contention at this stage as the top seeds hit the water for their opening bouts. World title contender Joel Parkinson (AUS) will be one to watch when he takes on North Shore local Pancho Sullivan, Marcio Farney (Brz) and Southern California’s Tanner Gudauskas, who is hoping for a great finish in his bid for 2010 ASP Dream Tour qualification.

Other surfers to keep an eye on include Taylor Knox (California); Hawaii’s Sunny Garcia, Clay Marzo and Granger Larsen; Bede Durbidge (AUS); and CJ Hobgood (Florida).
