This one is a hybrid of the MR Retro '78 plug that's been modified to hold 4 fins. It gives the board a lot more range than the straight twin fin design. Handles great in up to double overhead surf and actually holds and accelerates in tubes… yet still flows and grovels in small surf as well. "

This is a replica of MR's favorite twin fin, which was a magic contest board. Originally shaped in 1980 for the June South Africa event, MR won the Gunston 500 and Hang Ten International on it. It has been faithfully re-created with the same outline, foil & rocker, fins & position, and MR sprays as the original. It features a deep V to get it flowing rail to rail, a fluted wing for holding power, and a template with a lot of forward area, making it a dream to paddle and ride in small waves. It is fast, loose and a blast from the past.
