The MBM+ is an updated version of the MBM. Working closely with team riders, Al has modified the bottom contours to create the MBM+. All our team riders that were riding MBMs are now riding the MBM+ and getting great results. Nathaniel Curran recently rode the MBM+ to victory at the US Open and the Lacanau Pro in route to qualifying for the 2009 WCT. The MBM+ needs to be surfed vertical and in the pocket. It consists of a single concave bottom to a flip in the tail.
FEEDBACK:An integral part of CI team rider's equipment
DESIGNED FOR:Intermediate to expert surfers in waist high to well overhead waves. Can also be custom ordered as a quad or as a Step-up.
The Fort Knox is the redesigned T-Knox model. Taylor describes this board as "the fastest board I have ever ridden". The Fort Knox allows the surfer to hold his rail for a long time and do long arcing turns. This board is flat under your front foot , has straighter rocker out the back and set within the vee are dual concaves. This keeps the water pressed between the fins, giving it an enormous amount of thrust out of turns. Think Taylor think Fort Knox.
FEEDBACK: An incredibly fast and drivey all around shortboard.
DESIGNED FOR: Intermediate to expert surfers in waist high to double overhead waves.
The Rookie shortboard development started under the feet of Jordy Smith, and within a month the Rookie was a favorite among CI's top team riders. Next they raided the logo archives and found the 80's splatter logos that now come standard. Like the Proton for Dane, the Rookie was designed around state of the art surfing by a powerful surfer and has a full rail and curvy outline. Relative to the MBM+ and Proton, the Rookie has the wide point forward, more nose area, lower entry rocker and more tail flip out the back. The Rookie is powered by single concave throughout.
FEEDBACK: A great all around shortboard from the flat walls of Bells to the round beach breaks of France.
DESIGNED FOR: Intermediate to expert surfers for waist to double over head surf.
