Rob Gilley

Previously in denial about his photographic past, Rob Gilley now rummages through his trove of mediocrity.

In the gaseous aftermath of bloated Gilley servings, may I offer some lighter fare: a six-pack of long, tall ones to loosen the passages.

(Above Left to Right) Years before photo pros discovered the subtle art of the oversized, speed-revealing T-shirt, Todd Holland let his gold chain do the work. Costa Rican Diego Naranjo, slotted at a front-lit beach break with the pseudonym “Piedritos,” Spanish for Gravels.

(Above Left to Right) Twenty five miles from the Farallon Islands, some San Francisco surfers prepare to launch themselves into the Great White North. A camera board shot of Chris Del Moro sheds some light on the age-old question from the un-jazzed: Why do surfers voluntarily leave a warm bed?

(Above Left to Right) Meet the twins: Pat Curren displays such a well-shaped pair that they almost don’t seem real. The fact that media attention has turned away from Sunset Beach does not diminish the fact that heavy shit still goes down.
