Manhattan Beach, CA – (May, 2011) – This past Saturday iMa & SurfAid put on the 2nd Annual SurfAid International Kick4Humanity soccer tournament, a charity event where the surf industry came together to battle it out on the soccer field. Even though there was some great swell, the tournament went off in it’s own way. The event raised a total of $14,000 in products & cash was donated for SurfAid.
Over 100 participants came out to play some soccer for a worthy cause. The finals was a very close and competitive match with Volcom United coming up on top by beating out Laguna Surf & Sport 1-0, becoming this year’s champions.
It was amazing to see people from the surf industry interact, spend a fun day in the sun and most importantly help raise funds for a worthy cause. We are excited about the turnout and generous donations that were made to make this year’s event to make it as great as it was. – Monica Staniec, VP Marketing iMa
