Dragon’s Web Game winners from around the world have lived, in California, the experience of a lifetime, hanging out and sharing the lifestyle of legendary surfer Rob Machado.

From Sept 13 to Sept 19, Tom Pidcock from Nunderi (Australia), Ryota Yaginuma from Yawata (Japan), Dan Taylor from San Diego (USA), Andrew Fairclough from Swansea (United Kingdom) and Juan Cattan from Guayaquil (Ecuador) surfed Rob’s break, ate at his favorite restaurant, were his guests at parties and even barbequed at his house, and way more.

The five winners earned their trip to California by playing Dragon’s Experience Web Game, based on the stories and inspiration behind Machado’s Experience Sunglasses. Machado’s Momentum and Mellow Tort colorways, inspired the first and second stage of the web game. In the Momentum stage, users virtually surfed Pipe Line Hawaii, reminiscent of Rob’s win at the event in 2000. In the Mellow Tort inspired ” Journey” stage, users virtually surfed Rob’s five favorite waves, symbolizing his shift from the pro tour and his focus on putting the soul back in surfing.
The Machado’s Experience ECO sunglasses are made for 100% renewable materials (a world first) and provided the inspiration for the third stage of the game where users virtually surfed endangered breaks around the world including Kirra (Australia), J Bay (South Africa) and Mundaka- (Spain).
