SPY unveils the “greenest” sunglass frame ever made

| posted on April 25, 2013

SPY happily unveiled the “greenest” sunglass frame ever made—the SPY + Surfrider Foundation Helm—to partygoers on Earth Day at the Saloon in Encinitas, CA. Considered a breakthrough in enviro conscious products, SPY’s 100% biodegradable Plantate® sunglass frame took the floor as DJ Gabe Vega worked the crowd through their collective Coachella hangover—all coming together to show their passion for surfing and the common goal of environmental awareness.

With the aim of highlighting Surfrider Foundation’s Rise Above Plastics campaign—while advancing the development of environmentally conscious eyewear built from sustainable sources—SPY + Surfrider Foundation’s partnership is the first piece in SPY’s new eco-friendly Recompose™ Collection.
