ECSC is North America’s oldest surfing contest and the second oldest continuously-run surfing contest in the world. About 100 professional surfers from around the world will compete for cash prizes. Hundreds of amateur surfers will also compete for top rankings on the amateur circuit – and for the love of surfing. Other uniquely “beach oriented” sports competitions are held in conjunction with ECSC, including: beach volleyball, skimboarding, sand soccer and skateboarding. FREE live musical entertainment from regional and national recording artists on a beach stage is also part of ECSC. The entertainment festival and all sporting events are open to the public and free of charge to spectators. For more information and a schedule of events, bands, and times, visit: www.surfecsc.com.

The East Coast Surfing Championships (ECSC) is produced by the Virginia Beach Jaycees, an all volunteer, community service organization. ECSC is presented this year by Coastal Edge and promoted by Resort Management, LLC. Portions of the proceeds raised at ECSC benefit the Jaycee’s many charitable projects. Volunteers are needed and welcomed. The ECSC information line is: 757-456-1535 or inquire at: info@surfecsc.com.
