Perry Hatchett No Longer with the ASP
It was reported recently that the ASP has opted not to renew head judge Perry Hatchett’s contract. Hatchett, who held his title with the ASP since 1997 , has not yet been available for contact.
According to the ASP, Judge Richie Porta will serve as the head judge in the interim period.
“Because we’re still working through the transition, we can’t give you too much in the way of details,” said Dave Prodan, ASP media manager. “I can let you know that ASP International Judge Richie Porta will be serving as ASP World Tour Head Judge in the interim.”
The ASP has made a number of drastic changes for the 2010 season, including a new judging criteria spearheaded by Hatchett as well as a shift in the amount of competitor slated to be on the tour in the coming years.
