In 2000, OTIS founder John Malloy saw a market saturated with CR39 and polycarbonate lenses. He immediately identified an opportunity to produce a premium 100% mineral glass lens product delivering on quality and value unmatched by the standard plastic lens. Australian Surfer Mitch Crews Joins Otis Eyewear as International Brand Ambassador
Complementing the launch in the US, OTIS is pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old Australian Surfer Mitch Crews as an international brand ambassador.
In recent 2013, Mitch achieved his dream of qualifying for the elite ASP World Tour and will kick off his debut campaign in 2014 at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast this March, whilst competing in the Quiksilver Pro against the world’s best. ‘Crewsy’, as he is known, has emerged as the newest Gold Coast standout to join the elite ranks for 2014. Crews’ rampage on the 2013 ASP Qualifying Series began with a victory at the 4-Star Quiksilver Open Japan and was followed with a run of incredible consistency in major QS events spanning the globe.
“I’m really excited for this. I want to build my profile in all the key magazines and mold my image the way I want to be portrayed for the next few years on tour. This is an epic opportunity for me to do this with Otis. I’m psyched on the plans they have for the future and getting involved with the USA launch”, says Crews.
