Michel Bourez Pro Model lands on Firewire’s Custom Board Design Platform

Following a strong 2012 release of Michel Bourez’s pro model, Firewire is excited to announce its addition to our Custom Board Design platform (CBD). Initially designed for competitive use by Nev Hyman, the retail model stretches the Spartan’s preferred dimensions over a range from 5’8 to 6’6. Now, customers and professional surfers alike can make subtle tweaks in order to create a custom version of the Michel Bourez Pro Model specifically suited to their needs.

The CBD software, powered by ShapeLogic, is especially unique because it puts the user in control of modifying his or her own board. These personal adjustments are then displayed in a 3D PDF, which allows the surfer to review every inch of their custom design before it’s even built. Additionally, once a magic board is found, it can be ordered over and over again. CBD Now Available in Europe: In addition to expanding the CBD quiver, Firewire is stoked to offer custom board design capability to European surfers. “Surfers in the US and Australia are stoked on the CBD program with over 10,000 boards designed and saved by over 3,000 users”, said CEO Mark Price. “The CBD platform is now deeper and more robust than ever before so we’re stoked that European surfers can also experience it”.
