Koa Rothman Signs with Quiksilver
18-year-old Hawaiian surfer continues the Rothman legacy
Quiksilver announced today the signing of 18 year-old Hawaiian surfer Koa Rothman to its team of up and coming talent. Koa hails from the long line of the respected Rothman clan – he is son of Hui co-founder Eddie Rothman, and younger brother to professional surfer Makua Rothman.
Born and raised at Sunset Beach in Haleiwa, Hawaii, Rothman couldn’t be more excited to join this great group of guys. “I’m psyched to sign with Quiksilver – it’s one of the longest standing and most established brands out there. Being able to surf alongside surfers like Kelly Slater, Reef McIntosh and Mark Healey is such an honor. I know it’s going to push my surfing to a whole new level.”
“Koa is such a great kid,” said Quiksilver Surf Team Manager Chad Wells. “He is really charging some big waves and is making a solid name for himself at Pipeline. He’s a perfect fit for our Hawaii team.”
