FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IRVINE, CA – Xcel is excited to announce the addition of young Hawaiian prodigy Kalani David to the Xcel surf team.
Kalani, the current U16 ISA World Champion, is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and progressive athletes of today’s up-and-coming generation.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Xcel,” says Kalani. “The wetsuits are definitely the best I’ve ever worn. It’s rad to be part of the team with guys like Albee Layer and Greg Long.”
Born and raised on Oahu’s North Shore, Kalani is already an accomplished surfer and skater at just 14 years young. Now splitting his time between Oahu and Southern California, Kalani’s raw talent and dedication have led to solid competitive results – and lots of fun – in and out of the water.
“We’re extremely stoked to welcome Kalani to the Xcel family,” says Kirk Presley, Xcel Team Manager. “Kalani’s commitment to surfing and skateboarding at such a high level is quite inspiring. We look forward to supporting him and having a blast along the way.”
