San Diego, CA and Commerce Township, MI —September 11, 2013 —House of Marley collection of premium, Earth-friendly personal audio and accessory products, today announced that Jeff Baldwin has joined the company as Brand Marketing Manager, Lifestyle. “Baldy,” as he’s known to many in the action sports industry, will be working from House of Marley’s new San Diego office and will report to Sam Vanderveer, Senior Vice President and General Manager, House of Marley.
In his new role for House of Marley, Jeff’s key areas of responsibility will be lifestyle brand marketing and strategic partnerships, event sponsorships and activation, category-specific creative direction and media planning, overall brand content development, and the establishment and expansion of Team MARLEY, a professional athlete and influencer brand ambassador program. He will work closely with House of Marley’s lifestyle sales team to develop and support retail accounts worldwide.
An ASP World Tour Professional Surfer from 1988-1993, Jeff brings extensive experience and knowledge of the Action Sports and Outdoor industries to House of Marley. He has been involved in almost every possible aspect of life in the industry, from professional athlete to brand creation and development, marketing, sales management and coaching. Jeff joins House of Marley after spending 11 years with Transworld Media, where he worked across Transworld Surf, Skateboarding,Snowboarding, and Transworld Business,working with more than 200 different brands worldwide from hard goods to manufacturers to retailers, developing, selling and implementing marketing partnerships to increase brand exposure.

A trained Sommelier, Jeff refined his cultural “suit and tie” skills in the Wine industry working as an international broker for Riedel Fines, importing vintage wines, sourcing and developing wine cellars and creating award-winning offerings for five-star restaurants. Immediately following his five years on the ASP World Tour, Jeff was a global staff writer for Surfing magazine, where he traveled the world researching and developing story lines while surfing some of the best breaks known to man.
