By addressing topics ranging from surfing to politics to music and art, TheInertia.com hopes to create an online environment that places a premium on constructive critical thinking for ocean enthusiasts.
“We’re really excited to open new lines of communication within surf culture,” says TheInertia.com’s Founder and Editor In Chief, Zach Weisberg. “We hope to create a more accurate representation of surfers worldwide by showcasing the myriad perspectives existent within the global surf community. With respectful spirits, we hope to stage interesting conversations, both contentious and inspiring, and learn from one another.”
With an impressive list of contributors that includes 1977 World Champion Shaun Tomson, accomplished journalists Steve Barilotti and Tim Baker, outspoken professionals like Tanner Gudauskas and Shea Lopez, and activists like Surfrider Foundation CEO Jim Moriarty, TheInertia.com is eager to evolve as a home for inspired, thinking surfers.
By donating 20% of revenue generated from its voluntary subscription program to meaningful charities like The Surfrider Foundation and Surfers for Cetaceans, TheInertia.com also aims to make sustainable impacts on the world through charitable giving. Users are not only encouraging productive dialog in the surf community, they are also aiding great causes.
