Honolulu, HI (May 31, 2013) Surf N Sea, the North Shore’s one-stop shop for all ocean adventures, is pleased to announce that the fourth annual Haleiwa Stand Up Paddle Race will be going down tomorrow in Haleiwa Town. Presented by O’Neill, the event marries a challenging 4-mile SUP race that stretches from Haleiwa to Puena Point with an SUP derby an agility course reserved for the top 10 male and female finishers.

“With one of the most consistent winter surf seasons we have seen in recent memory coming to a close, it is now time to break out the big boards and get ready for the North Shore Summer race season,” said Surf N Sea’s Sean Wingate. “We’re so stoked to be hosting this special event right here in our backyard.”

Race time begins Saturday, June 1 at 8:45 at Haleiwa Harbor. In addition to the bragging rights, there’s also $2,600 in prize money up for grabs as well.

If you’re looking to include the keiki, the day will feature the Free Surf News Network Keiki Relay. In addition to the array of races, the event will feature an SUP demo from our friends at Surftech as well as a massive prize raffle stocked with tons of gear, clothes, and SUP equipment.

It’s all going down at Haleiwa on Saturday morning, June 1. Call 808-637-SURF now to see if space is still available for entries or arrive at the event early. Entry fees are $40.
