Globe and Boost Enter 2010 Season with a Reiter Prepared Lamborghini Gallardo G3

| posted on March 15, 2010

Motorsport, in particular auto racing, is the original action sport. Action sports brand Globe’s co-founder Peter Hill is a skateboarder and a 20-year motorsport veteran, and now after campaigning many cars over the years adds a Reiter Engineering prepared Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 to his list. The Gallardo was Top Gear’s 2006 & 2009 Dream Car Of The Year and the Reiter version has a class leading spec sheet that boasts a 3.9 sec 0-100 and a top speed of 320km/h.

Hill, Fresh off an exciting 2009 season and some stellar worldwide television exposure, and no doubt adding to the excitement of what will prove to be the biggest and best season ever for the Australian GT, heads up the RACING INCIDENT team and will drive the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 for the 2010 GT campaign.

RACING INCIDENT will base their Australian GT Championship team in Melbourne (Aus). Major sponsorship of the car will come from Globe and telco Boost Mobile, supporting sponsorship and security from iPatrol.

The Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 5.2 hammered straight out of the box and the RACING INCIDENT race version, prepared by Reiter Engineering, will no doubt hammer its way through the field as the Australian GT year progresses.

Peter Hill is quietly excited about the new drive. “I’m stoked to be driving this amazing V10 Lamborghini. We are coming to Adelaide without having tested the car, so we will try to keep out of trouble and learn about the car. Hopefully, by the Australian Grand Prix, we can be moving to the front pack,” Hill said.

Globe Footwear and Boost Mobile surfer Taj Burrow, recent winner of the 2010 Quiksilver Pro who currently leads the world title race, dropped by the RI garage and had this to say about the Globe Boost Lamborghini:

“When Peter has finished racing this thing I want it. How sick does it look!?” Burrow said.

Boost Mobile has a long history of motor and action sports sponsorships, they help some of the world’s top athletes including 9 time world surfing champion Kelly Slater, Taj Burrow, World Boxing Champion Danny Green, and a stable of rising stars. Boost CEO Paul O’Neile had this to say about their involvement with this team:

“Boost Mobile is excited to be part of a world class supercar series like the Australian GT Championship, and even more so to be doing it with this team and the Lamborghini Gallardo.”
