Dede Suryana's World Professional Surfing Dream Continues as He Signs with Coca-Cola

We are very pleased to announce that 24 year old Dede Suryana from West Java has signed a 3 year agreement with Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia to pursue his ultimate dream of competing on the world surfing stage.

Dede finished the Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship (ISC) ranked number 1 in 2008 and completely dominated the Aerial competition at the Asian Beach Games in Bali last October 2008 to take the gold medal.

The Coca-Cola system and Quiksilver have rolled out the Bali Beach Clean Up program over the past 18 months. This program helps the community improve many aspects of beach life including waste removal, education, safer beaches, micro economic support as well as supporting those that enjoy this cleaner environment, such as the surfing community.

Dede represents the future of competitive surfing from deep with the Indonesian community. His powerful surfing style and drive to compete and improve his performance will be required as he steps onto the World Qualifying Series in 2010.

The Coca-Cola system has been supporting the surfing community globally for over 4 decades. This extension into an individual sponsorship is a natural development given Indonesia’s iconic presence as one of the best destinations in the world to surf. The sponsorship will also show case the talent of great local surfers that have been growing and developing their skills on the perfect waves of Indonesia.

The signing was held in Bali with CCBI’s General Manager Balinusa, Sani Dwi Prasetya, and Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesian Management represented by Bruce Waterfield, Business Services Director.

“Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia will support Dede Suryana in his tour around the world we hope that this will inspire and motivate young surfers to be world class surfers,” said Sani Dwi Prasetya.

Dede Suryana Menandatangani Kontrak Bersama Coca-Cola Perjalanan Menuju Tur Dunia
6 September 2009, Kuta Bali – Dengan rasa bangga kami memberitakan 24 tahun Dede Suryana asal Jawa Barat telah menandatangani surat perjanjian 3 tahun bersama Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia (CCBI) dalam langkah menggapai mimpi untuk dapat berkompetisi dalam liga dunia selancar.

Dede berhasil meraih peringkat pertama dalam Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship (ISC) pada tahun 2008 dan sukses memperebutkan mendali emas dalam ‘The Aerial Competition’ di Asian Beach Games pada bulan Oktober lalu di Bali.

Coca-Cola System dan Quiksilver telah mengaktifasikan program ‘Beach Clean Up’ dalam kurun waktu 18 tahun. Program ini bermaksud untuk memotifasikan komunitas-komunitas yang ada dalam pelestarian pantai, termasuk pembuangan sampah, pendidikan, keamanan pantai, dukungan kepada mikro-ekonomi serta mereka yang perduli terhadap lingkungan hidup yang bersih seperti komunitas peselancar.

Dede mewakili Indonesia dalam kompetisi selancar dunia. Dia mempunyai bakat yang luar biasa untuk berkompetisi dan kemampuan gaya selancar untuk menunjukkan langkahnya ke jenjang kualifikasi tinggat dunia pada tahun 2010 mendatang.

Penandatanganan kontrak ini dilaksanakan di – Bali dihadiri oleh General Manager Balinusa, Sani Dwi Prasetya didampingi oleh pihak perwakilan management Coca-Cola Indonesia Bruce Waterfield, Business Service Director.
