Contrast Magazine is excited to present “9 On The Wall,” a photography exhibit featuring photographers from the latest issue of Contrast at the Human Imagination (1154 Nuuanu Avenue) on February 1, 2013. This free event starts at 5 p.m. and is open to all ages. The photo exhibit will be held alongside Chinatown’s First Friday Art Walk.
“9 On The Wall” is also the launch event for Contrast #09, which is themed, the photography issue. The breathtaking work of Mike Coots, John John Florence, Ken Goto, Sagan Lockhart, Zak Noyle, Lenard Smith, Allen Ying and Kanoa Zimmerman are featured in the pages of the Contrast #09, which celebrates the visual art form with a collection of amazing images from these talented photographers.
Photography is a cornerstone of Contrast since the first issue (#00) hit the streets in February 2009. For the past three years the avant-garde, lifestyle publication could be experienced online or in print, but this photography exhibit is bringing the audience a new experience: “9 On The Wall.”
The photo exhibition at the Human Imagination showcases images from Contrast #09’s eight featured photographers plus the magazine’s regular contributors: Enlarged, framed and magnificently displayed: “9 On The Wall.”
