The Human Imagination Gallery will be home to an exhibition of recent work titled “Language Arts” by CJ Dunn. The Honolulu-born, New York City-based graphic designer specializes in custom type, lettering and branding work. For this exhibition he has created a series of hand painted signs using traditional techniques as well as an original typeface which has been laser etched, letter by letter, into individual wooden blocks. Along with this exhibition, Human Imagination will release a limited-edition t-shirt with lettering by Dunn available exclusively at the show opening. “Language Arts” opens on May 4 and runs through May 30.
