The 100 Wave Challenge

Shaun Tomson is raising funds for youth mentorship

| posted on September 02, 2014

On September 20th, Shaun Tomson will be surfing for a great cause. San Diego’s Boys to Men is a non-profit that provides mentors for young boys who grow up without a father. The group sends representatives to middle schools, high schools, and foster care facilities to assist fatherless young men in navigating from adolescence to successful adulthood. One of Boys to Men’s major fundraising efforts is through their 100 Wave Challenge—surfers sign up to participate, and donors pledge money for each wave the surfers catch. Tomson, a strong supporter of youth development, is taking up the challenge and hoping to raise $10,000 for the group.
