FCS claims two wins at the Vans Pier Classic at Huntington Beach this past weekend with Nat Young winning the Men’s Pro and Keanu Asing taking the Pro Junior.
With Victory-At-Sea conditions on Sunday it was not an easy day for any of the competitors during the last few rounds of surf. “I’m just happy to come away with the win,” said Nat Young who opted for the PC-5 fins on the board he rode and his backups during the event.
Keanu Asing decided to make an equipment change early on in the contest. Initially riding a set of Performance Glass Wade Tokoro Prototypes he switched to a set of the Wade Tokoro Glass Flex fins (WT-1). “The glass flex fins have been working good for me and I really like the flex. I feel like I have more control and good spring off the top with these fins in a wave like this,” said Asing.
