After two events on the 2012 ASP World Tour, we’ve seen a reshuffling of the Top 34 and a growing buzz about who the next World Champ might be and what country he will be from. Meanwhile, at FantasySurfer.com the international leaderboard is heating up in the inaugural Global Challenge, which pits countries against one another on our mission to crown the most savvy nation in fantasy surfing.

The U.S. has amassed a widening lead so far, followed closely by Australia in second and the UK in third. European neighbors Portugal and Spain are separated by a mere couple-hundred points in the #7 and #8 slots, a rivalry that will surely heat up here in the third event. As the Tour hits Brazil for the Billabong Rio Pro, will the Brazzos use home-field advantage to climb out of the #10 ranking? And how about our #5-ranked Canadian neighbors in the great white north, eh?

With two events down and eight to go, pick your team and do your country proud at FantasySurfer.com.
