Why does Owen have a claw on all his boards? —Billy Higgins, Tampa, FL

“When I was grom I had a cross on my boards and then a lot of guys started putting crosses on their boards as well. So I sat down with my shaper and the designer and they were like, ‘Here try this design.’ It was claws—like trying to claw your way to the top. I was like ‘Alright I’ll run with that.’ I’ve just stuck with it for a long time and we’ve come up with some cool colors to keep it new. I might change it later, but for now I like it.” —Owen Wright
